Prompt Response:  we used to go to my families house and had huge family gatherings around christmas and we would play football and watch football. We dont do them anymore every since Covid.   Summary:traditions are important. Reflection:  we worked on our final projects.

  Prompt: Write about something you’ve outgrown but still miss. Prompt Response:  I miss the bouncy houses when I was a little kid. I think about how much fun and how many memories i made on those things and how dangerous the things we did on them were.  Summary: we were not  very smart as kids but we didn't know any better Reflection: we worked on our final project

Prompt:  Write about the best gift you have received.  Prompt Response:  The best gift i have ever received was my bike when covid first started. I rode that bike almost everyday for 3 years. I am thankful for all the fun it brought me and the amount of friends that I have found riding bikes. Summary:a gift can change someones life Reflection:    we worked on our identity masks

 Prompt: I am proud of having Italian heritage. My dad's family is almost all Italian. They are loud, loving and really passionate. Italian's have different excitement about them. I am also proud of all of my grand parents and great grandparents that served our country. Both of my grandfathers served in Vietnam and my grandfather served in WWII with the US Army but he was an Italian citizen. Summary: I was absent for an orthodontist appointment. Reflection: You do not realize how you culture or you family affects your personality.

Write about a moment in your own life when you followed what looked like cool or fun, only to realize afterwards that it wasn't the smart of responsible path. What influenced your decision and how did you perspective change later?

 Prompt: Something that I did that seemed like a fun idea at the time was when I was 14 and I was spending the night at a friend's house and we snuck out at like 2 am and decided to play hide and seek in his neighborhood. We thought it would be fun, but one of the neighbors thought one of my friends was a robber/thief. We realized that someone could have pulled a gun or something thinking that we were stealing instead of playing hide and seek. Summary: I was absent for a doctor's appointment. Reflection: Sometime you have to think of the worst case when doing something.

 Prompt: We had Thanksgiving dinner with my family, my grandma, uncle, great uncle, and my Aunt Colleen. Then we went over to my dad's side of the family. I am grateful for the break from school and spending time with family. I needed the break to catch-up on school work and sleep. Summary: We worked on vocabulary. Reflection: We have such busy schedules that it is nice to be able to rest sometimes.

Prompt: After watching the short film Identity, write a blog post reflecting on how the masks in the film represent the pressure to fit in and the struggle to discover who you really are. Choose one moment from the film that stood out to you and explain why. Then, connect the film’s message to Langston Hughes’ poem “I, Too” and to the mask you are creating in class. What part of your identity do you want your mask to reveal?

  Prompt: The masks in the film the characters try to fit in with certain color masks. The masks try and make each person fit in because they don't fit in with their own personality. It is hard in high to be what your parents want you to be and what your friends want you to be.  The scene I thought was interesting was when Ed finds the image of himself. He realizes his true self. I want my mask in class to show my interests and what I like to do. Summary: We worked on vocabulary. Reflection: It is hard to try and be everything that other people want you to be.
