Prompt: In "A Rose for Emily", Miss Emily's actions shock the reader-she kills her fiance' and keeps his body in her home for years. People often react with disbelief when they hear about real-life stories that seem just as unbelievable. Write about the most shocking or "craziest" news story you have ever heard. What happened, and why did it stand out to you? How did people react to it, and what does it reveal about human behavior?

Prompt response: One of the craziest things I remember happening is when the I-85 bridge collapsed. We were eating at The Grove restaurant and it was on all of the TVs and everyone was talking about it. My mom needed to go over that bridge in order to go to work and she had to work in another location for a month. It was crazy how fast they replaced it. People reacted to it with shock because it affected so much of the city.

Summary: We worked on the writeable for A Rose for Emily.

Reflection: You never know how one event would affect your life and the lives of other people.
