Prompt: Miss Emily's house once represented pride and tradition, but over time it became a symbol of decay and isolation. Describe a place that holds deep memories for you-positive or negative-and explain how it reflects part of who you are or how you've changed over time.

Prompt response: The place that holds a lot of memories for me is my grandparents old house. I used to spend almost every afternoon after school at my grandparents house. They had a really big yard and my Popi and i would spend a lot of time outside building forts, working in the garden, or in the playhouse.

Summary: We read in class a "A Rose for Emily". I was not expecting that ending.

Reflection: You never know how a place might have secrets or unexpected things.
