Prompt: Write about an adventure you would like to go on . I would like to go on a backpacking trip in Europe with my friends. We would start in Ireland and then go on ferries to the U.K and then then Amsterdam.  We would go to Germany, Italy, and Greece. I plan to do this when I'm in collage and I have a stable job. Prompt: Dickinson uses the metaphor of a funeral to describe her inner struggles. What metaphor would you use to describe your own mind?

Prompt: Dickinson uses the metaphor of a funeral to describe her inner struggles. What metaphor would you use to describe your own mind? I would say that a metaphor to describe my mind would be a factory. It always running and its constantly working to produce basic actions like talking and breathing. My mind is very active because I do sports and I try to take hard classes at school. Summery: we talked  about a poem today and we took notes on it reflection:My mind is like a factory because it runs so much. I think I should take a break everyonce and a while to recharge

Describe something you will never fully understand.

Prompt: I will never fully understand why we need to go to school five days a week. It seems to me that we should be able to get most of the teaching and work done in a lot less time. We spend a lot of time on standardize testing, unnecessary things like assemblies, pep rallies and homeroom. I would suggest more of a true block schedule so that more learning and wasting less time for 3-4 days of the week once you get into high school. Elementary and middle going five days a week makes sense because parents have to work. Summary: I was not in class, but I think people were presenting their origin myths. Reflection: I reflected on my origin myth and how to organize my ideas.

Prompt: What is the most creative thing you have ever made? Share what it was and explain why it stands out as your best work.

Prompt: The most creative thing I have ever done is I made a drum beat to a song me and my friends made. It stands out as my best work because we constructed the song from scratch and its very important to me. It really meant a lot to create something from scratch and have it come out sounding great.  Summery: We worked on our projects today. Reflection: I learned how to create something from nothing with my friends. This something that I would like to do again in the future.

Prompt: Everyone has burning questions about life. Mysteries we wonder about but don’t always have clear answers for. Think about your biggest questions about existence, purpose, or the world around you. Write a blog post where you share at least two of your most burning questions about life and explain why these questions matter to you.

Prompt: Two questions I think about are: 1) Why is there evil in the world? 2) Does God exist? For the first question, I wonder with all of the bad in the world right now I always wonder why? What is the purpose of evil and it seems like a lot of unneccesary energy is spent on doing bad things. For the second question, I do sometimes wonder if God exists and if God does exist is he anything like we have imaged. These questions matter to me because I have struggled with these questions and the religion that I have been raised in. Summary: We worked on our group project. Reflection: I learned today how to create my own origin myth.

Describe a time when you felt completely lost

Prompt: A time when I felt completely lost is when I was five and my mom left me in Publix. I was lost for 15 minutes. I was scared because I was five and I thought I was lost forever and that I would never see my mom again. The Publix worker found my mom in like 5 minutes and I was okay again. Summary:We went over presentations and we did our blogs. Reflection: I learned about different perspectives on the jealous father.

Prompt: I think I have adapted well to this course. I do all my blogs at school when I can. One challenge that I think I'll have is doing the blogs everyday because I think I'll have a lot of work one day and will forget. One strength I think I will have with this class is the fact that I will be awake and not half asleep in the class because its 5th peirod. Summary: We worked on our quiz in class and we worked on our projects. Reflection: I think I will do well in this class if I keep up with my work. It is easy to get behind.

Describe a real-life situation in which jealousy negatively affected a relationship you experienced.

Prompt: One time when jealousy affected my relationship is when my brother got a $800 dollar gaming PC for Christmas and I got some school supplies. I didn't talk to him for a week because I was so mad. I made up with him when he paid for my food with his money. I regretted being jealous because it was very petty of me.  Summary : We worked on our project to present to the class. Relection : I found out what part I will have in my group. Working on a group project helps you in figuring out how to work with different types of people.

Write about a meaningful object or place in your life that carries a story.

Prompt Response:  The most meaningful object in my life is my lacrosse stick. I have been playing lacrosse for a while now, and its one of the most important things in my life right now. My lacrosse stick is perfect for me and it helps me play better. Summary: We learned about Native Americans and their beliefs. Reflection: I learned that Native Americans put their beliefs in nature. It made me think about the people that came before us.

Write about a time you felt connected to nature, like the kinship in Native American myths

Prompt: When I was younger, I used to ride my bike around the neighborhood all day and I would go everywhere. This connected me with nature because I would spend the whole day outside finding something to do. Most the time my friends would join me and we would spend out days building forts, walking in the creek and woods. Exlporing my surroundings made me feel like a Native American nomad. Summary: Today in class, we discussed Native American Literature. Reflection: I learned that one of the forms of literature that Native Americans used is oral storytelling. This is helpful because my grandfather was a storyteller, and he was part Creek Indian. Storytelling must have been something that was passed onto him.
